Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist,
previously worked as an anchor for television at ABC News. Her most well-known
work is her tenure as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 to
2018 as well as in her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to 2018. Prior to
that, she was co-anchoring World News Now and America This Morning. After
graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an
operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the
limited opportunities on TV the company employed her in sales for radio. She
was eventually able to find work for a year as a production assistant at
WKEF/WRGT and later occasionally report and anchor. She was the anchor for
weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati and the weekday anchor for WCPO TV in
Cincinnati from 2002 until 2005. After her contract was up in 2005, she was a
sports reporter and anchor at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago from
November 2005 to December 2011. In December 2011 she was employed by ABC News
the division for news of ABC. On January 2, 2012, she made her debut on the ABC
network's World News Now and America This Morning. During this time she
occasionally performed as a fill-in host on Good Morning America as well as a
correspondent. She was later elevated to become a New-York-based reporter for
all ABC News programs. Her final episode of World News Now and America This
Morning was broadcast on January 22 2013. Following the time that Bianna
Golodryga was transferred to Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor of Good Morning
America Weekend was announced on August 9, 2014. News. News. Her contract was
renewed by ABC to run the 20th season on the 3rd of August. Season 21 was also
renewed with her hosting duties as co-hosts. During the series' 22nd and 21st
seasons, she was mainly on screen during the program's Friday episodes.
